Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) has issued an official notice dated August 3, 2022, stating the action taken by State Council Committee against the candidates involved in Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) 2019 scam. A total of 7,880 candidates had committed malpractices in the MAHA TET 2019 exam.

As per the official notice of the MSCE, 7,880 candidates have been disqualified in the MAHATET 2019 exam and have further been debarred from appearing in the TET exam hereafter.

MAHA TET 2019 scam: Highlights of MSCE notice

Have a look at the highlights of the official MSCE notice issued against candidates involved in malpractices:

  • Out of these 7,880 candidates, 7,500 candidates were declared qualified in the MAHA TET 2019 exam even though they were ineligible.
  • 293 candidates obtained the fake MAHA TET certificate or attempted to obtain the fake certificates.
  • 87 candidates were identified by Cyber Police Station, Pune City on the basis of information received from the accused during the investigation.

A criminal case was registered on December 16, 2021, under Sections 406, 409, 420, 465, 467, 468, 34, 120 (b) and 66 (d) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 against the malpractice in the MAHA TET 2019 exam.
