Maharashtra School Reopening: Offline classes to begin in Nashik Schools from December 13

Amid the schools reopening, the schools have been directed to ensure that students maintain social distancing, wear face masks, and use hand sanitizers.

Nashik School Reopening: Offline classes will commence with school reopening in Nashik, Maharashtra from December 13, 2021. Schools in Nashik will resume for students from Classes 1 to 7 following all the COVID-19 guidelines issued. The government has directed educational institutions to follow the Standard Operating Procedures in order to prevent COVID-19 spread.

Amid the schools reopening, the schools have been directed to ensure that students maintain social distancing, wear face masks, and use hand sanitizers. To prevent COVID-19 spread, the teaching and non-teaching staff at the schools are also required to get themselves vaccinated.

Earlier, the reopening of schools and commencement of offline classes was scrapped by the Nashik Municipal Corporation due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation. However, schools in Maharashtra reopened for the students from Class 1 to 7 from December 1, 2021, in the urban areas and from Class 1 to 4 for the schools in the rural areas.

Due to the rising threat of the Omicron Variant, the Brihamumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) decided to delay the reopening of the schools for offline classes in Mumbai, Maharashtra. According to the latest notification, the offline classes in Mumbai will resume from December 15, 2021.

Official media reports state that the authority has received approval from at least 60 percent of the parents for resuming the offline classes for the students. There are a total of 1,85,279 students in Classes 1 to 7 in Nashik.
