The Jamia Millia Islamia successfully conducted the JMI Entrance Exam from October 10, 2020, to November 22, 2020, with 126 Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diploma programmes and courses being conducted across the time period. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown restrictions being imposed at the time, the entrance exam was conducted in the later part of the year. The JMI Entrance Exam is usually conducted in the month of May and for the year 2021, it is expected that the JMI Entrance Exam 2021 will be conducted in the month of May, with strict guidelines and rules being followed to maintain social distancing.

The application forms for admission to Jamia Millia Islamia are generally released in the third week of February, 2021, and the application window is open for a brief period of time, giving enough time for candidates to apply online for the programme and course interested in. Once applied, students have the option to edit their application forms online if required.

The JMI Entrance Exam admit card is released generally released seven days before the JMI Entrance Exam is scheduled to be conducted. The JMI Entrance Exam schedule is released two weeks before the entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted. The results are generally announced in the month of June and the counselling session is conducted in July.

The official dates for the JMI Entrance Exam 2021 will be announced in February and the 2021 admissions brochure will be released online along with the release of the JMI Entrance Exam application form.
