FTII Sound and Music Course in Cinema

The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) has announced a new basic course in introduction to Sound and Music in Cinema, which will be conducted at the FTII campus in Pune from April 22 to April 26, 2020. The FTII under its skilling India in Film and Television (SKIFT) initiative announced a short course. The short course details are as follows:

About the course

Candidates will be informed on the analysis and understanding of how sound is used by some of the masters. Understanding the emotional development in a narrative with the help of the music. Candidates will be developing story ideas to shooting script with sound. The course will also lay emphasis on how the shot taking can change when sound is incorporated.

Selection Criteria

Selection to the course will be done on the first come first serve basis. However, the course will only be operational if there is a minimum of 14 students who participate in the course. Candidates who apply will be informed via email. The course fees is non-refundable.
