The Joint Entrance Test (JET) which is conducted on behalf of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), the 2021 JET schedule is expected to be announced anytime soon as the registrations and application forms are generally released in the month of December every year. However, due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, the registration process is likely to be postponed and may release in the month of January, 2021, however, there is no official information on the release of the schedule yet.
Candidates who are interested in applying for admission to Postgraduate (PG) Diploma courses offered in the field of Television and Films, can apply straight away once the portal is available. Admission to the programmes offered at the two renowned institutes is on the basis of the following criterias:
- On meeting the eligibility criteria
- Securing the required marks in the Joint Entrance Test (JET)
- Clearing the Personal Interview (PI) round.
The official dates for FTII JET have not yet been released, howevr, candidates can refer to the below mentioned tentative dates which are as follows:

Candidates are required to fill the application form and submit the form with the fee before the last date. Once applied, candidates will have to download their admit card online and will have to appear for the FTII JET. The results are declared and students will be shortlisted for the interview round. Candidates who clear both the rounds, are offered admission to the programmed applied for.
