What is Joint Seat Allocation 2022 – 23?

From this year onwards, selected candidates will be alloted seats at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Instiutute (SRFTI), Kolkata according to Joint Seat Allocation (JSA) system. JSA 2022 – 23 will have 04 rounds. In the event of vacant seats after JSA 2022 – 23, the admission to such seats will be directly undertaken. The candidates are strongly advised to exercise their options carefully as once option is exercised, no changes in the same can be carried – out either at JSA 2022 – 23 and or when admissions are directly undertaken. The entire process is online and computer operated. 

If candidate(s) roll number appears in the merit list of any of the course stated either in Group A or in Group B or in Group C, it is mandatory for such candidate(s) to register through the official JSA 2022 – 23 online portal to be able to obtain seats to be allocated through JSA 2022 – 23 by filling necessary choices in the order of preference. Against JET 2022 – 23, there will be in – total 16 merit lists against courses stated in Group A, Group B & Group C. Depending on candidates’ course registration & related performance, candidate name, roll number may appear in one or more merit lists. Further, each merit list will have category-wise rank list. Thus, in one or more merit list(s), candidates’ name, roll number may appear in one or more such rank list(s).

Registration And Filling-In Of Choices Of Academic Programmes

Candidates should follow the below-mentioned steps for registration and filling-in choices of academic programmes and institutes:

• Candidates should visit https://applyadmission.net/jet2022_23/ using the login id and password of JET 2022 – 23 and login in to JSA 2022 – 23 portal.
• Filling-in of choices on the online portal is free of cost, i.e., candidates are NOT required to pay any fee
• A candidate will be eligible in maximum 03 merit lists of 03 courses and can fill maximum 05 choices.
• Candidates are given a window to fill-in their choices which includes 1 mock seat allocations.
• Candidates must fill and save at least one choice of seat to be considered for seat allotment. Candidates who failed to fill and save at least one choice will NOT be considered
  for seat allotment under JSA 2022 – 23.
• The candidate needs to accept the seat allocated and opt for any one of the options ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ for the choice of course for subsequent round(s), if any, of JSA 2022 – 23. 
• The candidate MUST pay the seat acceptance fee for continuing with the JSA 2022 – 23 process till the end to avail the seat in FTII Pune or SRFTI Kolkata. Admission fee varies across the Institutes and is different from seat acceptance fee. At the time of seat acceptance, candidates have to remit the seat acceptance fee only in the round in which the seat is allotted for the first time.
• Seat Acceptance Fee is INR 50,000/- and it will be adjusted against the admission fee of the respective Institute. Candidates should remit seat acceptance fee using UPI/ Net Banking/ Debit card or Credit card.
