The notification of the Film and Television Institute of India Joint Entrance Examination (FTII JET) for the 2024 session is expected to be released soon. Candidates who are planning to apply for this coveted Film and Television entrance examination can visit the official website ftii.ac.in to check the latest updates related to the exam.

As per media reports the FTII JET 2024 was expected to be released in the first week of November 2023 and can be expected anytime soon. For the 2021-22 session, the FTII JET registrations began on November 3 while for the 2022-23 session, it began on February 3.

Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria of FTII JET will be able to apply for the competitive exam from its official website, by filling out the application form in detail as well as paying the application fee in online mode.

What is the FTII JET exam?

The FTII JET is a national-level entrance examination conducted annually for postgraduate and post-graduate diploma courses. The FTII JET exam is conducted by the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata. 

Shortlisted candidates are then selected for admission by these two prestigious institutes under courses for various streams such as direction & screenplay, writing, editing, acting, cinematography, sound designing, recording, art direction & production design and video editing, etc.

FTII JET is conducted once a year. The question paper is in English medium and is conducted in offline mode. The time duration is of 3 hours and there are 2 sections in the exam. As per the official exam pattern of FTII JET, there are a total of 100 objective-type questions, with each correct answer earning 1 mark. The questions are both, multiple-choice as well as descriptive answer type in nature. The exam questions will be based on topics such as Allied Arts, Literature, Art & craft Film & TV, Environmental Awareness, General Awareness, General Knowledge related to Art and Culture and Media, etc.
