British Council Launches GREAT Scholarships 2024 for Indian Students

25 esteemed UK universities have pledged support by offering 26 prestigious scholarships to Indian students. These scholarships, valued at a minimum of £10,000 each.

In a bid to bolster educational opportunities and foster cross-cultural exchange, the British Council, in collaboration with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign, has unveiled the GREAT Scholarships 2024 program for Indian students. This initiative aims to provide aspiring scholars from India with the chance to undertake postgraduate taught studies in various fields across the United Kingdom.

Under the GREAT Scholarships 2024 program, 25 esteemed UK universities have pledged support by offering 26 prestigious scholarships to Indian students. These scholarships, valued at a minimum of £10,000 each, will be allocated towards tuition fees for one-year postgraduate courses during the 2024-25 academic year. The range of subjects covered is diverse, spanning disciplines such as Finance, Marketing, Business, Psychology, Design, Humanities, Dance, and more.

Furthermore, the program includes specialized scholarships tailored to specific areas of study. Notably, two scholarships are earmarked for Justice and Law studies, in partnership with the Ministry for Justice, while an additional four scholarships are designated for Science and Technology disciplines, encompassing fields like artificial intelligence, sustainable engineering, and psychology.

The GREAT Scholarships initiative seeks to expand access to UK education in India and celebrates the rich tapestry of institutions offering a myriad of courses for prospective students. With over 133,237 Indian students choosing to pursue higher education in the UK annually, this program endeavors to fortify the enduring bonds between the two nations and extend a warm invitation to Indian scholars seeking academic excellence abroad.

Applicants are required to have received an offer of entry from one of the participating universities and must meet all entry requirements specified by their chosen course.
