CAT registration process 2022 is currently underway. Candidates planning to pursue MBA from IIMs or other top B-school in India must apply for the CAT exam. To appear for the exam, candidates need to register online at IIMCAT website. The application process for CAT 2022 will go on until September 14 and the exam will be held on November 27, 2022. This year, the CAT exam is being conducted by IIM Bangalore.
Candidates must note that clearing the CAT exam is the only gateway to IIM MBA courses (full-time MBA). CAT 2022 registration cum application process is the first step towards appearing for the exam. The process includes online registration, filling up of application form, uploading of document and payment of fees.
CAT Registration cum Application Process 2022
CAT exam fee is INR 2,300 for General, NC-OBC and EWS category candidates. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the fee is INR 1,150. Given below is brief description of CAT 2022 registration cum application process:
- Go to iimcat.ac.in website: https://cdn.digialm.com/EForms/configuredHtml/756/77650/Registration.html
- Click on ‘New Registration’
- Fill basic details to generate OTP
- Verify OTP to authenticate registration
- Fill the information asked in CAT application form
- Upload passport size photo and scanned signature
- Select CAT test cities, IIM campuses and courses
- Pay fee via netbanking/credit or debit card
CAT Registrations 2022: Documents to Upload
The documents uploaded with the CAT 2022 application form must be valid and approved by the competent authority. Given below is the list of CAT documents to upload.
- A copy of the SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS certificate(s) must be uploaded at the time of the CAT application registration.
- PwD certificate mentioning details of disability must be uploaded at the time of the CAT application registration.
- Candidates using scribe for the writing the exam, will need to fill the Scribe Affidavit form available on the CAT website.
- Candidates are encouraged to apply for a UDID card (PwD Category) and upload the same for the application.
- Final year certificate from the Principal, HoD, Registrar or Director certifying the applicant has obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates) or equivalent based on latest available grades/marks on College/Institution’s Letterhead.
- Candidate Identification affidavit in case they don’t have a valid proof of residence
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate to mention “First COVID Vaccination Date”, “Second COVID Vaccination Date” in the CAT application form 2022.
- Scanned passport size photograph within the dimensions of 1200 pixels x 1200 pixels, in .jpg or .jpeg format and the file size should not be more than 80KB and with a minimum resolution of 150px/inch
- Scanned Signature within the dimensions of 80mm X 35mm, in .jpg or .jpeg format and the file size should not be more than 80KB and with a minimum resolution of 150px/inch
