TGCHE, formerly known as TSCHE, has conducted two shifts of TS ICET 2024 exam today. This year, TS ICET has encountered a staggering number of applicants. Owing to a high competition, TS ICET cutoffs are likely to rise.
The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) conducted the first two shifts of the TS ICET exam today. The exam difficulty remained consistent with previous years.
This year's TS ICET exam saw record-breaking registration numbers, exceeding the record set in the past 15 years. Kakatiya University, the conducting body for the exam, has followed the trends while setting difficulty. The increased number of test-takers, in comparison with a stable number of MBA/MCA seats offered through TS ICET 2024, indicates a significant rise in the candidate-to-seat ratio. This trend is likely to cause a substantial increase in TS ICET cutoff ranks. Over 85,000 candidates registered for the 2024 TS ICET exam.

With a high TS ICET cutoff score, allocation of seats through TS ICET will become challenging as more candidates will be better suited for a single seat. A higher cutoff rank will streamline the shortlisting process with more candidates being rejected in the Telangana MBA admission process. The TS ICET qualifying cutoff will remain unchanged at 25 per cent for UR categories.
Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) 2024 saw a turnout of over 50% applicants across 20 exam zones today. Conducted by Kakatiya University, the exam will have a single session tomorrow morning (June 6th) under the forenoon shift. Exam rules and difficulty level are expected to be unchanged.
