The Delhi High Court on January 7 dismissed a petition challenging the results of CAT 2024 for admissions in IIMs and other top management institutes.

Justice Tara Vitasta Ganjurejected the plea and Court said that it found no reason to interfere with the exam results.

As per Aditya Kumar Mallick, answer to Question No. 18 from Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension section was faulty. Mallick also sought that an expert committee be appointed to ascertain the correct answers.

CAT 2024 exam was conducted by IIM Calcutta on November 24, 2024 and the provisional answer key was released on December 03. About 405 objections were received from candidates against the official CAT 2024 answer key, however, none of the objections were found by the examination committee to be valid.

The petitioner candidate raised an objection to the provisional answer key, contending that there was an error in an answer declared for question no 18 of the English comprehension section of the examination.
