The last round of IIFT admission for MBA-IB programme will start from April 12. Following the shortlisting of candidates through IIFT entrance exam, the institute will conduct extempore and PI round for final selection. Check below extempore and PI dates and guideline.

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi has announced the schedule for Extempore and Personal Interview round for admission to MBA-IB 2023 batch. Earlier, the institute had announced that it will conduct Written Skill Assessment (WSA), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) offline as well as online. However, a very few number of candidates opted for offline session, thus the institute decided to conduct it completely online.

As per the official schedule, the Extempore and PI will be conducted on 15 days between April 12 and May 3, 2023. Candidates have been grouped into batches and given a date and slot to participate in the Extempore and PI round.

About 250 candidates will be interviewed on each day. The duration of each session will be about 20 minutes. Check below the dates on which the extempore and PI will be conducted. To know your PI date and slot log on to: https://www.iift.ac.in/iift/index.php and click on ‘current admission’ tab.

  • April 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2023
  • May 1, 3 and 4, 2023

IIFT 2023 entrance exam was held on December 18, 2022 and the result was announced on February 11, 2023. The PI shortlist and IIFT cut offs were announced around March 9, 2023.

IIFT 2023: Guidelines for Online Extempore/Personal Interview

Certain technical requirements are a must for participating in the IIFT extempore and PI. Shortlisted candidates must read the related guidelines below.

  • All candidates must download MS Team app on their laptop / desktop for online extempore and PI.
  • The candidates will be invited to join the extempore and PI session via a MS Team link in registered email ID.
  • Candidate will be required to join the session on the allotted date and slot by clicking on provided link.
  • Candidates should join the session at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
  • Candidates can participate in the extempore and PI only on desktop or laptop that has camera / web-cam installed on/in it.
  • The audio / video of the computer system must be on for the entire duration of extempore and PI.
  • No person other than the candidate should be present in the room during the session.
  • Candidates must have a stable and high speed internet connection, preferably a LAN, so that they are clearly, fully visible
  • (either seated or standing).
  • Candidates must sit against a white background or a clear background of a lighter colour ensuring better visibility during the process.
  • Candidates will have to show a valid photo ID proof for verification, such as Aadhar Card/Voter ID/Passport/Driver's License at the beginning of the session.
