A total of 21 faculty and research scholars from Nagaland University and Kohima Science College have registered for the Faculty Development Programme.
The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) is hosting a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) exclusively designed for faculty and research scholars from Nagaland for the first time. This initiative marks a pivotal step in nurturing academic excellence and strengthening the educational framework of the Northeast. A total of 21 faculty and research scholars from Nagaland University and Kohima Science College have registered for the programme. The five-day programme was inaugurated by Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore. Prof. Rai further highlighted IIM Indore’s ongoing initiatives aimed at addressing major national challenges, including inequality, the urban-rural divide, environmental issues, and fostering an entrepreneurial spirit. He called on educators to inspire students to take risks, embrace experimentation, and pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. “If we don’t celebrate failures, we won’t be able to create a culture of innovation or see the rise of big startups from India. It starts with us as mentors,” he said. Prof. Rai concluded his address by emphasizing that this FDP is a two-way journey of learning, fostering an exchange of ideas and collaboration to create solutions for a better India.

Dr Temjenwabang, Principal of Kohima Science College, expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for Prof. Himanshu Rai’s leadership. “This FDP is a reflection of Prof. Rai’s vision and dedication to helping Nagaland progress academically and socially. The overwhelming response from our institution reflects how significant this opportunity is for us,” Dr Temjenwabang said.
