Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has successfully concluded the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2024. This annual event sees ten Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) collaborating to conduct a unified personal interview (PI) for admission into their prestigious MBA/PGP programs. The participating IIMs for this year’s CAP included Bodh Gaya, Jammu, Kashipur, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Sirmaur, Tiruchirappalli, and Udaipur.
Record Number of Candidates
This year’s CAP witnessed a record 16,371 candidates attending the personal interview round. Among them, 3,800 were female candidates, marking a significant representation. In line with previous years, the PI was conducted online, a practice that reduces both time and financial burdens for MBA/PGP aspirants.
Enhanced Candidate Experience
CAP 2024 introduced a feature allowing candidates to correct errors in their CAT registration forms. Additionally, candidates had the opportunity to view their normalized PI scores on the CAP portal after the results were declared, enhancing the transparency of the selection process.
Merit Lists and Offers
Each IIM participating in CAP generates its own merit list based on normalized PI scores and other criteria outlined in the admission policy. Offers are typically sent out simultaneously by all participating IIMs, enabling candidates to make well-informed decisions about their preferred institutes.
Coordination by IIM Kashipur
As part of the annual tradition, one of the participating IIMs is designated as the CAP coordinator. IIM Kashipur served in this role for CAP 2024, overseeing the entire process and ensuring its smooth execution.

Given below are the eligibility criteria for admission to the MBA programme at IIM Kashipur:
- The candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
- Candidates should have a valid score in CAT based on which they will be selected for the Personal Interview (PI) round.
- Those who qualify for the personal interview round will be required to report to the admission cell at IIM Kashipur for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.
Prepare well for the entrance exam. Follow the GATE preparation guidelines, attempt as many GATE question papers as possible, and hence study well for the entrance exam.

Yes, CAT 2023 dates for admission to IIM Kashipur are out. To apply for the CAT exam, candidates are required to create an account, fill the CAT registration form and pay the exam application fee. The 2023 CAT form have to be submitted by a certain deadline after which no application will be accepted. For 2023 CAT exam, CAT registration will go on between Aug 2 and Sep 20. The exam will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Students are required to appear for the CAT 2023 exam in Computer Based Testing mode at allotted test centres. For admission to IIM Kashipur for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022). However, if the trend is not followed, the same will most probably be out by the first week of January 2024. After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for IIM Kashipur admission.
