The event was a dynamic platform for insightful conversations, showcasing the ever-evolving landscape of these fields and the future trends shaping them.
Marketing Panel: "A Disruption Called Quick Commerce"
The Marketing Panel at Pinnacle 2.0, titled “A Disruption Called Quick Commerce,” delved into the rapid growth of quick commerce and its implications for marketers. Professor Karthikeyan Balakumar of IIM-Sirmaur moderated the session, guiding the conversation on how quick commerce is changing the marketing landscape.
Rohit Gulati, a key panellist, emphasised the importance of data in understanding consumer behaviour and predicting market trends. The discussion explored the impact of technology on consumer buying patterns, and how brands are leveraging data analytics to refine marketing strategies. Panellists discussed the integration of quick commerce with traditional retail models and stressed the need for regulatory oversight and partnerships with local kirana stores to ensure sustainable growth.
“Data is the new oil for marketers, fuelling insights and strategies that drive consumer engagement,” said Rohit Gulati, highlighting the critical role of data in modern marketing.
HR Panel: "Revenge Quitting: A Growing Trend in 2025"
The HR Panel, themed “Revenge Quitting: 28% Expect It at Work in 2025,” focused on the rising challenges in employee retention and engagement. Dr Sumagna Bhowmick moderated this session, discussing the shift in employee expectations and the increasing trend of “revenge quitting.”
Panellists highlighted the significance of flexible work arrangements and achieving a balance between personal life and career growth. They explored ways to address “fake productivity” and underscored the importance of honest performance appraisals in maintaining a healthy workplace culture. The conversation also touched upon the need for building strong personal connections with employees and understanding the root causes of dissatisfaction in the workplace.
“In today’s age, work-life balance and growth are equally important for employees,” noted Neha Jain, one of the panellists, stressing that organisations must adapt to these changing expectations.
Finance Panel: "Digital Financial Services and Viksit Bharat 2047"
The Finance Panel at Pinnacle 2.0 tackled the theme “Digital Financial Services: Driving Economic Growth for Viksit Bharat 2047.” Panellists discussed the growing role of digital financial services in fostering economic growth, with an emphasis on financial inclusion, efficiency, and transparency.
The session explored the potential of government and private partnerships in advancing digital payment platforms and financial tools. Key discussions also revolved around the need for enhanced credit services, financial literacy, and the integration of AI and blockchain technologies to achieve sustainable economic development.
