Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bengaluru is accepting applications for various programmes including PGDM, FPM in Food Processing and Business Management, and more. 

IIPM Admission 2025: The Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bengaluru, a renowned Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has announced the opening of admissions for its various AICTE/MHRD/GoI approved programs for the academic session 2025-26. These programs, designed to provide specialized education in agribusiness, plantation management, food processing, and agricultural export, offer opportunities for students from diverse academic backgrounds.

IIPM Admission 2025: Post Graduate Diploma Programs (PGDM)

IIPM Bengaluru is offering several specialized 2-year residential Post Graduate Diploma Programs, each aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills to excel in their respective fields. The programs include:

  1. Post Graduate Diploma in Management: Agribusiness and Plantation Management (PGDM-ABPM)

    • Eligibility: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in Agriculture and Allied Sciences such as Horticulture, Forestry, Sericulture, Post-Harvest Technology, and related fields.
    • Collaboration: This program is NBA Accredited and equivalent to an MBA through the MU-Twinning Programme with Royal Agricultural University, UK.
  2. Post Graduate Diploma in Management: Food Processing and Business Management (PGDM-FPBM)

    • Eligibility: A Bachelor’s Degree in any field, with preference for candidates holding degrees in Food Science/Engineering, Nutrition, Fisheries, Home Science, Chemical Engineering, Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Biotechnology, and related disciplines.
    • Academic Collaboration: This program is developed in partnership with University of Wisconsin Madison, WWI-USA and a Twinning Programme with NTU-UK (under approval stage).
  3. Post Graduate Diploma in Management: Agricultural Export & Business Management (PGDM-AEBM)

    • Eligibility: A valid Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Preference is given to candidates with a background in Agriculture and Allied Sciences or related fields such as Commerce, EXIM, etc.

IIPM General Admission Criteria

  • All degrees must be from a recognized University or Institution with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
  • Reservations for EWS, OBC (Non-creamy Layer), SC, ST, and PWD categories are applicable as per the Government of India rules.
  • Final-year undergraduate students can apply provisionally.
  • A valid score in at least one of the following national-level exams (NLET): CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT/GATE is required. The valid score must be submitted by June 30, 2025.

Fellow Programme in Management (FPM-Ph.D)

IIPM is also offering the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) for the 2025-29 batch. The program is designed for those wishing to pursue doctoral research and is open to candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in any discipline with first class or equivalent grade points, or a Bachelor’s Degree plus professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS, or CFA with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Final-year students in these disciplines can apply provisionally, provided they submit the required mark sheet by December 31, 2025.
  • Part-Time FPM applicants must have a minimum of three years of relevant full-time work experience and must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer.

Executive Professional Certificate Programme (EPCP-ABPM)

For professionals seeking to enhance their expertise, IIPM offers an Executive Professional Certificate Programme in Agribusiness & Plantation Management (EPCP-ABPM). This 11-month program requires applicants to hold an undergraduate degree and at least three years of work experience. Diploma holders with five years of work experience can also apply. There is no age limit for applicants.

Application Process and Key Dates

  • Deadline for PGDM Applications: 31st January 2025
  • Detailed eligibility criteria, selection procedures, and application forms can be accessed at IIPM Official Website.
  • Applicants must submit their scores from the specified national-level eligibility tests by June 30, 2025.
