Following the reports of delay in conduct of the MAH MBA CET 2023 exam on March 25, the State CET has formed an enquiry committee to investigate the complaints.
The MAH MBA CET 2023 which was conducted on March 25 and March 26. As per the reports, the exam started about an hour late in the second session on March 25. There were also complaints from students of first session that the screen timer showed 180 minutes at test time limit but the actual time limit was 150 minutes, which led to confusion among candidates resulting in inability to complete the test as planned.
Candidates complained of mismanagement at various test centres on Day 1 of the MAH MBA CET 2023. At one of the centre in Nagpur, the second session which was to commence at 2 PM did not start until 6 PM. At a centre in Amravati, the server crash midway and no extra time was given to students to complete the test.
Following the complaints, the Maharashtra State CET Cell has announced investigation into these complaints.
In an official notification, it said, “On March 29, a leading daily also published a news related to delay in commencement of the exam. The CET also received several complaints from students through letters, emails and telephones about the difficulties related to delay/change of time in commencement of exam.”
“An enquiry committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Director, Technical Education Department to investigate these complaints. Grievances will be resolved as per the findings of the enquiry committee,” it added.
The contract to conduct the entrance exam was given to a Bengaluru-based firm. The agency was responsible for conduct of the exam.
An official release from the CET cell said, "The MAH-MBA/MMS online entrance exam started late at some centres because of some technical problems. If there have been any technical glitches, students would be permitted to take a re-test. Each case would be considered individually.
The MAH MBA CET 2023 was conducted at around 184 test centres in Maharashtra and 11 centres in other states. About 1,31, 035 students had registered for the exam this year. MAH CET score is accepted for admission to over 300 MBA/MMS colleges in Maharashtra.
