QS MBA Rankings 2025: IIM-B, IIM-C, IIM-A at Top, Indian B-Schools Shine Internationally

Alongside IIM Bangalore, three other prestigious institutions—IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, and the Indian School of Business (ISB)—have secured spots within the top 100 in QS Global MBA Rankings 2025.

QS Global MBA Rankings 2025: In a significant development for Indian management education, 14 full-time MBA programs have made their mark in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Global MBA Rankings 2025. While IIM Bangalore remains the highest-ranked institution from India, it has unfortunately slipped out of the global top 50. Alongside IIM Bangalore, three other prestigious institutions—IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, and the Indian School of Business (ISB)—have secured spots within the top 100. Notably, three Indian institutes debuted in this year's rankings, signaling a growing recognition of India's management education on the global stage.

Overview of QS MBA Rankings 2025: A Shift in Positions

The QS Global MBA Rankings 2025 has seen a mix of movements among Indian institutions compared to 2024. Here are some notable shifts:

- IIM Bangalore: Dropped from 48th in 2024 to 53rd in 2025.

- IIM Ahmedabad: Fell from 53rd to 60th.

- IIM Calcutta: Slipped from 59th to 65th.

- Indian School of Business: Decreased from 78th to 86th.

In contrast, IIM Kozhikode has entered the rankings for the first time, appearing in the 151-200 range. IIM Indore and XLRI-Xavier School of Management maintained their positions within the 201-250 range. Meanwhile, IIM Lucknow and IIM Udaipur dropped from the 151-200 range to the 201-250 range.

Debutants in QS Rankings 2025

This year marks a significant achievement for IIM Kozhikode, which debuted in the rankings. Additionally, the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad entered the rankings for the first time in the 251+ range, showcasing the expanding landscape of Indian management education.

Rising Star IIM Lucknow

In another impressive feat, the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) has secured fourth place among Indian institutions in the QS Business Master’s Rankings 2025. Its Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP) is now listed among the Top 10 Management Programs in Asia. Globally, IIM Lucknow's PGP ranks within the 111-120 band, reflecting its excellence in management education.

Woxen University tops with Masters in Finance

Woxsen University has made waves in the QS Business Master’s Rankings 2025, solidifying its position as a leading institution. Notably, Woxsen secured the top spot in India for its Masters in Finance Program, ranking 1st in India, 13th in Asia, and within the Top 151+ Worldwide. Other accolades include:

- Masters in Business Analytics: 2nd in India, 9th in Asia, Top 101+ Worldwide.

- Masters in Management: 7th in India, 19th in Asia, 151+ Worldwide.

- IIM Bangalore: Overall score of 67.4, employability 70.7, and ROI 84.8.

- IIM Ahmedabad: Overall score 63.3, employability 64.5, ROI 80.8.

- IIM Calcutta: Overall score 62.6, employability 68.3, ROI 76.

- Indian School of Business: Overall score 58.3, employability 54.5, ROI 71.4.

Other institutions, such as IIM Lucknow and IIM Udaipur, showcased moderate employability scores and ROI, indicating areas for improvement.
