Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has unveiled its inaugural asynchronous Data Analysis programme as part of its Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) initiative in collaboration with Coursera. This initiative aligns with the Government of India's emphasis on e-learning and digital education. SPJIMR has been recognized as India's leading business school according to the Financial Times MiM Global Rankings.

Enhancing Data Management Skills for Business Professionals

According to an official statement, the Data Analysis MOOC aims to equip data analysts and business professionals with the skills necessary to effectively manage data in corporate settings. Participants will gain expertise in applying various analytical tools such as probability, sampling techniques, predictive analysis, and descriptive statistics.

Gateway to SPJIMR’s PGDM Online Programme

Successful completion of the course will enable participants to master quantitative analysis methods and understand the critical role of accurate data in achieving reliable business outcomes. The course also serves as a pathway to SPJIMR's AICTE-approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management Online (PGDM Online) programme at the master's level, as highlighted in the press release.

The Data Analysis MOOC comprises seven comprehensive modules designed to provide participants with a structured learning experience. Here are the modules included in the programme:

  2. Business Statistics: Descriptive Statistics and Probability
  3. Business Statistics: Probability Distributions and Sampling
  4. Business Statistics: Sampling Distribution, Estimation, and Hypothesis Testing

  6. Regression Analysis
  7. Chi-square Distribution and Goodness of Fit
