While CET is used to enroll candidates for non-AICTE undergraduate and postgraduate courses, JEMAT is conducted to enroll candidates interested in MBA, MHA and AICTE-approved postgraduate diploma programs in management institutes.

The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), previously known as the West Bengal University of Technology invites candidates to apply for admissions across various courses. The process of enrolment involves two entrance exams, namely, the Common Entrance Test (CET) and Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT).

While CET is used to enroll candidates for non-AICTE undergraduate and postgraduate courses, JEMAT is conducted to enroll candidates interested in MBA, MHA and AICTE-approved postgraduate diploma programs in management institutes. MAKAUT has begun the application process for both the exams. However, the last date to participate in the application process on May 30, 2020. Students seeking admissions in West Bengal based colleges can apply on the official website of MAKAUT i.e. makautwb.ac.in.

West Bengal University of Technology Admissions 2020: Application Process

Interested and eligible candidates are required to register on the university’s official website. After completing the registrations, the candidates will receive an application number and password which one needs to retain for future use. All the future logins on the admission postal will be done using this application number and password.

MAKAUT Admissions 2020: Application Fees

Application fees for both the exams are the same. For CET and JEMAT candidates will have to pay Rs 600 each. However, the application fee is different for reserved category candidates. The reserved category candidates have to pay Rs 350 for each application form.

MAKAUT Admissions 2020: Exam Pattern

The CET comprises of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQ) for two marks each. Candidates will be given 90 minutes to solve the exam. JEMAT will be a two-hour exam with 100 questions divided between English, mathematics, and logical reasoning. While Logical reasoning will have 20 questions and the other two sections will have 40 questions each.
