Among the new arrivals, nine students enrolled in the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), while 14 students joined the Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EXEC-FPM). 

XLRI Jamshedpur has enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of its new cohort of students for the academic year 2024-26. A total of 551 fresh faces joined the esteemed XLRI student community.

Traditionally held in the Tata Auditorium on the XLRI Jamshedpur campus, this year's inauguration ceremony for the new academic session took place offline. The event, attended by the incoming students, their parents, XL faculties, and staff members, marked the official commencement of their journey at XLRI.

Among the new arrivals, nine students enrolled in the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), while 14 students joined the Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EXEC-FPM). Additionally, the breakdown of students for other courses is as follows:

- PGDM (BM) & PGDM (LSCM): 236 students, with 31% female and 69% male representation, and 55% coming from an engineering background.

- PGDM (HRM): 180 students, with 59% female and 41% male representation, and 50% with an engineering background.

- PGDM (GM): 112 students, with 30% female and 70% male representation, and 79% from an engineering background.

The inauguration ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Fr. S George S.J, Director of XLRI, Fr. Donald D’Silva S.J, Dean Administration & Finance, XLRI, and Professor Sanjay Patro, Dean Academics, XLRI, alongside other dignitaries. The solemn occasion also witnessed recitations from holy books by XL staff members, invoking divine blessings for the students' journey ahead.

Addressing the gathering, Professor Sanjay Patro welcomed the new students, while Fr. Donald D’Silva SJ led a prayer. Fr. S George S.J., Director, XLRI, emphasized the merit-based selection process, encouraging students to make the most of the opportunities at XLRI.

Following the academic inaugural event, an ice-breaking session ensued, allowing students to engage in various games and activities, fostering camaraderie and comfort among the newcomers. The day concluded with a Special Orientation Programme designed by XLRI to equip students with essential knowledge before regular classes commenced.
