The sum raised under the XLRI annual Silent Auction event will be donated to the Friends of Tribal Society, continuing a tradition of altruism for the third consecutive year.
In a display of remarkable community engagement, XLRI Jamshedpur has raised over 2.1 lakh rupees through its annual Silent Auction event organized by the CII Yi committee. This significant sum will be donated to the Friends of Tribal Society, continuing a tradition of altruism for the third consecutive year.
Cheque Presentation Ceremony
The cheque was presented to President Rajesh Mittal and Abhishek Garg on behalf of the Friends of Tribal Society, highlighting XLRI's commitment to supporting education initiatives in remote tribal areas.
The Silent Auction witnessed enthusiastic participation from the entire XLRI community, including students from various batches, committees, and faculty members. Items such as dinners, tutoring sessions, guitar lessons, books, paintings, and more were generously contributed and bid upon, symbolizing the collective spirit of giving.
No Reservations, All Contributions
Notably, all proceeds from the auction are directed to charity, with neither the CII Yi committee nor the donors retaining any portion of the funds. This approach underscores XLRI's dedication to making a meaningful impact on society.
A Noble Cause
"We are delighted and honored to present this amount to the Friends of Tribal Society," expressed a spokesperson from XLRI. "This donation reflects our students' commitment to giving back to the community and supporting the education of tribal communities in remote areas."
Gratitude and Support
Smriti Gupta, Secretary of CII Yi at XLRI, expressed gratitude to the Dean Administration and the Associate Dean Student Affairs for their steadfast support. Their guidance was instrumental in the success of the Silent Auction, ensuring its seamless execution and significant contribution.
Continued Commitment
XLRI's enduring commitment to social responsibility and collective action serves as a source of inspiration, embodying the institution's ethos of working for the greater good. The Silent Auction stands as a testament to the community's compassion and dedication to effecting positive change through philanthropy.
This annual initiative not only raises funds but also strengthens XLRI's bond with the larger community, reinforcing its role as a catalyst for social change and empowerment.
