AIIMS Bhopal to hire Senior Research Fellow in Ayurveda

Selection of the candidate will be done through the interview by the competent selection committee. A written exam for screening purposes may be held if the number of candidates will be more. The date of the written exam/interview is June 5, 2023, tentatively from 10 am onwards.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal invited the eligible candidate to attend a written test/ interview on the dates mentioned below for the post of Senior Research Fellow/SRF (Ayurveda) on a purely contractual basis in the extramural research project titled “Prospective, Randomized, Open-Label, Blinded End Point exploratory clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Ayurvedic regimen as an adjunct to Hydroxyurea in the management of Sickle cell disease" funded by Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), New Delhi, Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India sanctioned vide CCRAS office order HQPROJ011/91/2022-PROJ/774 dated 04 November 2022) to Dr Sachin Bansal, Principal Investigator (AIIMS Bhopal) and Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Oncology & Hematology at AIIMS Bhopal.

There is only one post of Senior Research Fellow/ SRF (Ayurveda) at consolidated pay of INR 41,300 and the age limit is 35 years or less.

The duration of the contract will be 2 years (subject to the continuation of funding by CCRAS, New Delhi and the performance of the employee). The appointment will be on a temporary basis for a period of one year. Based on the performance in the first year, the appointment could be extended till the end of the project.

The essential qualification needed is Graduate Degree in Ayurveda (B.A.M.S.) from any recognized University. Preference will be given to those who possess a higher qualification or who have previous research experience i.e. having worked for any funded research project.

Desired qualifications include a post-graduate degree in Ayurveda (Clinical Subjects), degree/ diploma/certificate course in research methodology/ ethnography/ data analysis/ database management/healthcare management.

Experience desirable is previous experience of working on Clinical trials or tribal healthcare-related projects or any project funded by the Ministry of AYUSH, ICMR, DST or equal organization, the paper published in an indexed biomedical journal as a first/corresponding author. Working experience in MS Word, MS Excel etc.
