AIIMS Gorakhpur will hire the Junior residents on a contract basis. The selection will be on the basis of the interview. The list of selected candidates will be uploaded on the website. Applications are invited for a total of 16 posts of Junior Resident, and the interview is scheduled on February 6, 2023.

All India Institute Of Medical Science Gorakhpur has invited applications from Indian Citizens as per the Govt. of India's Residency Scheme, for the posts of Junior Resident (Medical) for a period of 12 months. There are a total of 16 posts of Junior Resident (Medical) including four for UR, 6 for OBC, 1 for SC, 1 for ST, and 4 for EWS category. 

The essential requirements for these posts are - MBBS from MCI recognized institute and the candidates must have completed the compulsory rotary internship and must produce an internship completion certificate.

“To apply for Non-Academic Junior Resident (Medical) upper age limit as on the date of interview will be 30 years. This Relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to a maximum period of five (5) years, for OBC candidates up to a maximum period of three (3) years. In case of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates, age relaxation upto a maximum period of ten (10) years for General Category, thirteen (13) years for OBC category and fifteen(15)years for SC/ST category candidates,” reads AIIMS Gorakhpur statement.

The application fee is INR 1000 for UR, EWS and OBC categories and there is no fee for women, SC, ST and PwBD categories.

The walk-in interview will be conducted on February 6 at the Medical College Building AIIMS, Gorakhpur, between 09:00 am to 10:30 am. The selection will be on the basis of the interview. The list of selected candidates will be uploaded on the website. Candidates are advised to check the official website regularly for information.

Documents required for AIIMS Gorakhpur Junior Residents posts

The candidates should bring the following original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies at the time of the interview with the application form - identity proof (PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhar Card etc.), address proof (Ration Card, Passport, Driving License, Aadhar Card etc.), certificate showing Date of Birth. (10th Certificate/Birth Certificate), photocopies of PAN Card and Bank Passbook (At the time of Joining for only selected candidates), Class 10th & 12th Mark sheets or Certificates, MBBS mark sheets & Degree, FMGE Certificate conducted by NBE (For Foreign Graduate - MBBS), Attempt Certificate and Internship Completion Certificate, Registration with Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council, Reservation category Certificate (OBC*/SC/ST/PwBD), publications (if any), any other relevant documents.

In the case of an OBC candidate, the OBC certificate must be issued within one year (Older certificates will not be entertained).
