AIIMS Guwahati inauguration on April 14; Health minister shares exclusive pics

The AIIMS Guwahati will have 750 bedded and 30 AYUSH beds. The medical institute will intake a capacity of 100 MBBS students and will also provide world-class health facilities to North East people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to launch the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Guwahati on Friday, April 14, 2023. The newly built institute is the first AIIMS of the Northeast. The PM, apart from inaugurating the campus, will also lay other foundational projects.

The AIIMS Guwahati will have 750 bedded and 30 AYUSH beds. The medical institute will intake a capacity of 100 MBBS students and will also provide world-class health facilities to North East people.

The Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya through his official social media account shared stunning first pictures of the Institute. “Ayushman Northeast! PM @NarendraModi Ji to dedicate to the nation AIIMS Guwahati, the first AIIMS of Northeast, on 14th April. Have a look at the stunning pictures of the New AIIMS of New India!” The minister tweeted.

This newly built campus will be dedicated to the nation by PM Modi and will inspect it. He will be launching development projects which include AIIMS and other three medical colleges named Nalbari, Kokrajhar and Nagaon. These development projects are worth close to INR 14,000 crores.

PM Narendra Modi will also participate in the celebrations on this huge milestone withe Bihu dancers and drummers and it will one of a kind moment to witness.

Apart from the development projects, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also launch a foundational stone of Assam Advanced Healthcare Innovation Institute of a new bridge which connects Palashbari-Sualkachi on the outskirts of Guwahati and 'Aapke Dwar Ayushman' campaign. The foundational stone is worth nearly INR 8, 500 crore.
