AIIMS Raipur has invited applications for the posts of Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor in various departments. There are a total of 116 vacancies.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur is seeking interested and eligible candidates for the post of Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor in various departments.
The Director, AIIMS Raipur invited online applications from Indian nationals/persons registered as Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955 for these posts on Direct Recruitment/Deputation/ Contract basis including retired faculty on a contract basis.
Eligibility Criteria
For medical candidates, the requirements are:
A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualification included in part II of the third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act). A post-graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/ subject and/OR M.Ch. for Surgical super-specialities and D.M. for Medical super-specialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Experience required is fourteen years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institute in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto OR twelve years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the degree of M.Ch./D.M. (2 years or 5 years course recognized after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto OR eleven years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality for the candidates possessing 3 years recognized degrees of D.M./M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
For non-medical candidates, the requirements are:
Post-graduate qualification e.g. Master's degree in the discipline / allied subject. A Doctorate degree from a recognized university. Experience needed is fourteen years of teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.
The appointment is purely on CONTRACT BASIS for a period of one year or till such time the alternate arrangements are made, whichever is earlier, with effect from the date of joining. However, the contractual appointment shall not be extended beyond the period of two years. If the contract is not extended further, the same will lapse automatically. The appointment can also be terminated at any time, on either side, by giving one month’s notice or by paying one month’s salary, without assigning any reason or failure to complete the period of three months to the satisfaction of the Competent Authority, said the official notification.
