AIIMS Raipur holds its first Convocation today; 850 students get degrees

All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS) Raipur organised its first convocation today, March 7, 2023. Union MoS for Health and Family Welfare Dr Bharti Pravin Pawar attended the event.

AIIMS Raipur tweet reads, "Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Dr Bharti Pravin Pawar has called upon new doctors to make a special identity in the society by discharging their duties with service."

"Along with this, she has asked to make every possible effort to make AIIMS an excellent center for research along with treatment. Pawar was addressing the first convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences as the chief guest on Tuesday," says another tweet by the medical institute. She also inaugurated the auditorium and new dental OPD of AIIMS on the occasion.

As per TOI report, a total of 850 medical, nursing and postgraduate students were given degrees including 10 students given gold medals, as confirmed by Director Prof (Dr) Nitin M Nagarkar.

During her visit to Raipur, Dr. Bharti also participated in JanAushadhi Diwas celebration on the occasion of Jan Aushadhi Diwas and interacted with the beneficiaries of PM-BJP. 

She said this initiative is helping millions of patients across the country with a commitment to providing quality and affordable healthcare to all citizens.
