Andhra Pradesh: 6 students tested Covid positive in Ranagaraya Medical College

Amid the fear of the fourth wave of Covid-19, six students of Ranagaraya Medical College have tested Covid positive.

Ranagaraya Medical College (RMC) in the Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh has reported six Covid cases from its girls hostel.

All the affected students are showing mild symptoms including cough, cold and fever and they are reportedly kept in quarantine, as reported by The Hans India.

After the reports emerged about the infected students, RMC authorities sent the swab samples of the students to the Government General Hospital in Kakinada and these students were found to be Covid positive.

AP Governor lauds Guntur Red Cross services during Covid-19

Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan has presented the commendation certificate to the Guntur unit Vice-Chairman and lauded the services of the Guntur Red Cross during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He said, "Guntur unit has been in the forefront in initiating measures to help the Covid-19 victims with the help of hundreds of volunteers. The food served to nearly 1.3 lakh migrant workers who walked on the national highways to return to their native places is one of the greatest services initiated by the Guntur unit headed by its mission director Ramachandra Raju," as reported by TOI.

India reports 3,207 fresh Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours

As per the data shared by the union health ministry, India has reported 3,207 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, and with 3,410 recoveries in one day, the number of active cases stood at 20,403. The country reported 29 more fatalities, and the death toll stands at a total of 5,24,093.
