The Assam NEET UG 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy round for the vacant BDS seats at the Government Dental Colleges of Assam for the academic year 2024-25 has commenced on November 25, 2024. No fresh registration is done in this round. Candidates have to fill and lock choices till November 26, 2024, 5 PM. The choice locking window will open on November 26, 2024, 4 PM to 11.55 PM.

Only those candidates who have participated in the previous rounds of Assam NEET counselling 2024 but have not been allotted any seats, or have not joined the allotted institutes will be eligible to participate in the Assam NEET 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy round for BDS seats.

How to Fill Assam NEET 2024 Counselling Choices

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to fill and lock the Assam NEET 2024 counselling choices:

  • Visit the official website of Assam NEET 2024 counselling – dme.assam.gov.in or click on the direct link https://formsrec.in/PreF_ug_Assam_24_R5/
  • Enter the Application Number or Username and Password
  • Enter date of birth in DD/MM/YY format
  • Click on Login
  • First click the arrow on the box for the Institution of preference when a dropdown menu will appear with the names of participating Institutions. Click on the Institution of your choice.
  • On clicking the Institution of your choice a Code will automatically appear in the Code Box by its side.
  • To lock the choices, he/she will have to click the `Save Preferences` button to save the last preferences and then click the `Final Submit` button.
  • The Online Choice Filling Form will not be accessible any more once the candidate clicks the `Lock Preferences` button and confirms it. So, candidates are advised to check the Form carefully before clicking the `Lock Preferences` button and confirming it.

Assam NEET 2024 Counselling Choice Filling Instructions

DME Assam has given certain instructions regarding the Assam NEET counselling 2024 choice filling and locking processes, which are listed below:

  • It is advisable that the candidate makes a list of choices, preference-wise, taking help of the seat matrix on a piece of paper before starting to fill up the form.
  • The login session may expire in 10 Minutes if there is no activity. So, the `Save Preferences` button should be clicked frequently to save the changes.
  • Candidate can close the session by clicking the `Logout` button and come back afterwards with the last saved preferences till choosing to lock the preferences.
  • There is no limit for giving choices and candidates can choose any number of preferences available in the Preference form.
  • Candidates must take a printout of the submitted list of preferences after locking.
  • Candidates who do not lock their preferences before the closure of the process of Online Choice Filling as notified will have their choices locked automatically in the last saved position. It is therefore advisable for candidates to lock their choices reasonably early.
  • Candidates can change preferences as many times as they wish till final locking, after which no changes will be possible.
  • Candidates must log out after every session for their safety. It is the candidate’s responsibility for the safekeeping of the Username, Password and Date of Birth as accessibility to these by some other person may lead to undesired changes in the preference form for which this directorate will not be responsible.
