Bihar govt intends to set up one engineering, medical college in each district
The government is working tirelessly to strengthen the health infrastructure of the state so that people do not have to go outside the state for better treatment, said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
While interacting with media persons during his 'Samadhan Yatra' in Saran district, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the 'Mahagathbandhan' government is trying to set up at least one medical college and hospital in every district and efforts are also underway to ensure that each district gets at least one engineering college.
He said the government is "working tirelessly" to augment health infrastructure so that people do not have to go outside the state for better treatment.

During the 'Samadhan Yatra', he inspected the under-construction Government Medical College and Hospital, Chhapra in Chhapra, Saran.
"Its construction work is being done in a better way so that along with the education of the students, the treatment of the people can also be done properly," said the CM.
"Instructions have been given to appoint teachers and other medical personnel so that boys and girls studying here have facilities in their studies, as well as treatment of people also get better. We want that no one has to go out for treatment under compulsion," reads CM Nitish's tweet.
"This Medical College and Hospital is being connected to Fourlane. It will also be connected to the railway line through an underpass so that no one faces any problem in commuting here," he added.
