Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences To Launch 'PRAGATI 2024'
The Pharma Research in AyurGyan And Techno Innovation (PRAGATI-2024) is a collaborative initiative by CCRAS to promote Ayurveda research and industry.
The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) hosts "Pharma Research in AyurGyan And Techno Innovation (PRAGATI-2024)" at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on May 28, 2024. The conference aimed to focus on creating opportunities and collaborations between CCRAS and the Ayurveda drug industry.
Representatives from 35 pharmaceutical firms around the country, including several CEOs, joined the event. These companies include Himalaya, Dabur, IMPCL, Emami, Baidyanath, Arya Vaidya Sala, Oushadhi, and IMPCOPS. In addition, professionals from CII, Excil, PCIMH, Ayush and NRDC also registered for participation in this interactive session as invited guests.
Primary Goal of the Meeting
- Make use of CCRAS's developed technology and research outputs.
- Create strong networks for joint research in developing products, validation, drug-standardised procedures, and quality control.
- Identify potential industrial partners in collaboration with the in-house R&D facilities.
- Evaluate alternatives to boost researchers' capabilities in the production of medicines and product development.
- Help Ayurvedic professionals launch enterprises and incubation facilities to encourage business in the field of Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals.
Finding suitable industrial partners who are keen to work with CCRAS, sharing scientific knowledge, and utilizing research products and outcomes in the development of Ayurvedic drugs is the intended outcome of PRAGATI-2024. The ultimate beneficiaries of this effort will be Ayurvedic physicians and patients as networking and institutional ties are enhanced.
