Delhi police bust NEET racket; Arrests 4 AIIMS Delhi students

Delhi police have arrested as many as four AIIMS Delhi students who were part of a gang of proxy candidates for the NEET exam, read here for more details.

A National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) racket has been busted by Delhi police. They arrested four students of AIIMS Delhi who are identified as Sanju Yadav, Mahavir, Jitendra and Naresh Bishroi. 

As per the report of Outlook India, the head of the gang was Naresh Bishroi who is a second-year student at AIIMS. In this gang, the first-year students were appearing in NEET exams in places of the clients who paid INR 7 lakh to the gang.

Sanju Yadav is reportedly a first-year student of Radiology at AIIMS Delhi who got caught while writing the entrance exam for a client. Whereas Naresh was arrested on Monday morning by RK Puram Police while he was giving his second-year examination.

The police are still investigating the matter to find out if more students are involved in this racket.

About NEET UG 2023

NEET 2023 exam was held on May 7, 2023, and the results were declared on June 13, 2023, at neet.nta.nic.in. As many as 20,38,596 candidates appeared out of which 11,45,976 have qualified. Now, the candidates are waiting for Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to announce the NEET UG 2023 schedule. The counselling is expected to be held between July and October 2023. There will be four rounds of NEET UG 2023 counselling including Round 1, Round 2, mop up round and stray vacancy round.
