Technology and artificial intelligence are helping in a big way in the medical education sector, said Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
While speaking at a breakfast session organised by industry chamber CII and consultancy giant EY, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2023, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that Digitisation is giving a big boost to healthcare and medical education sectors in India while also providing a much-needed safeguard against corruption.
"Technology and artificial intelligence are helping in a big way in the medical education sector with all colleges and institutions being linked to the National Medical Council," he said, as reported by Financial Express.
“These are examples of how we can create a corruption-free society,” he added.

Dr Mansukh Mandaviya's tweet reads, "Met with the founder of VPS Healthcare, @DrShamsheerVp, on the sidelines of the #WEF23 Davos. Discussed at length on strengthening cooperation in medical tourism. Also, deliberated on leveraging digital technologies to ensure access to quality & affordable healthcare."
"Met Christina Ostberg Lloyd, VP of Ferring Pharmaceuticals & highlighted the numerous investment opportunities in India in the Pharma sector. Also, spoke about various reform initiatives of PM @NarendraModi Ji's Govt to strengthen India's image as the Pharmacy of the World," says another tweet.
We discussed potential areas of synergies in digital health, innovative solutions to provide quality healthcare to patients, and skill development programmes in healthcare in India, said the health minister.
