Delhi University recently approved the revision of remuneration, examination fees, TA/DA for the examiners. These revised rates are applicable for conducting B.Sc. (MT), Radiology, B.Tech, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, NHMS, MBBS, M.Sc (MIT), M.Sc. (Respiratory Therapy), MPH, MD/MS, Diplomas (DGO, DCH, DHA, DRM, DDVL, dA) and DM/M.Ch. and Super-Specialty examinations.

Now, Dr Sarvesh Pandey, President of RDA RML, has said that the 1000 per day fine for doctors is not justified. His message on X platform reads, "1000 per day fine is not justified from Delhi university.“FINANCIAL STRIKE”. This is financial strike of Delhi University on resident doctors. Has the university does not have funds to conduct the examination."

"Delay in thesis submission may be due various reasons including Guides non availability, DR Posting , Personal and Professional reasons. Charging 1000/day for the delay is highly unjustified and Barberic and We RDA of GTB and UCMS Stand against it and demand removal of this fine," said another message on X.

Following are the revised rates of DU:

For the setting of the question paper, the rate is INR 900 per paper, for the coordinator/moderator of the question paper - INR 1000 per paper, for the evaluation Theory Paper - INR 25 for each paper or a minimum of INR 200, for examining of Thesis (MS, MDS, DM, M.Ch. Courses) - INR 1500 to each examiner, for the conduct of viva-voice/practical exam - INR 3000 + conveyance to each examiner, in case of outside examiner - INR 3000 + TA (as per rules) to each examiner, examination fees for students - INR 4500 each per semester/or per professional year examination, INR 4500 each for supplementary examination, for thesis submission fees for students (MS, MDS, DM, M.Ch. courses) - INR 15000 each (INR 1000 per day for late fee)
