This is against the National Medical Commission guidelines and disrupts the ongoing thesis projects, patient care & academics at the institute, said the Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA).

ESIC Hospital Basaidarapur: Mass transfer of faculty created chaos for PG trainees

Postgraduate trainees of Esic Model Hospital Basaidarapur have written to the Medical Superintendent of the hospital about intimation to protest against the mass transfer of teachers and guides from ESIC model Hospital Basaidarapur to other centres.

"We are very distressed and are feeling very frustrated because our academics, ongoing thesis, research projects and super speciality services are going to get jeopardized and our career is going to be at risk with the above-unjustified notification. Sir, in this tough time, we are left with no other options other than requesting and protesting against the competent authority, so that the above notice can be taken back and our career can be saved," reads the letter.

The PG trainees have started the protest today, May 25, 2023, morning at 9 am, in front of the administration block. The students have said that if needed they will be moving forward to carry this protest to higher authority, such that the emergency services and patient care will not be hampered.

"MASS TRANSFER of FACULTY in the mid-academic session from ESIC hosp. basaidarapur has created chaos for the PG trainees! This is against the @NMC_IND guidelines and disrupts the ongoing thesis projects, patient care & academics at the institute. Requesting @MoHFW_INDIA to look into it on an urgent basis," reads FORDA INDA's tweet.
