Extend NEET UG 2023 Registration Deadline, demands aspirants

There has been a demand to extend the NEET UG 2023 registration deadline which closed yesterday, April 6, 2023. The candidates have reportedly faced server issues and hence many could not apply for the exam. The examination will be held on May 7, 2023, for admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BAMS, Veterinary, and other medical/paramedical courses in India.

Many NEET UG 2023 aspirants have said that they faced server issues while trying to register for the upcoming medical exam which is all set to be conducted on May 7, 2023. The aspirants are raising their demand to extend the application deadline on Twitter under hashtag #Extendneetregistration.

All India Student's Union (AISU) tweeted, "Dear @DG_NTA, we kindly request you to extend the application form date for #NEETUG2023 as many candidates faced server issues and were unable to fill the form. Your support will ensure equal opportunities for all aspiring medical students."

Tushaar Mehta, a NEET UG 2023 aspirant told Shiksha, "Many students were unable to register themself because of server issues like not receiving OTP and some students' payments got stuck, also site got close at 9 pm before 11:50 pm."

"It's a request to @DG_NTA to kindly extend the application form date of #NEETUG2023 since a lot of candidates have not been able to fill the form due server issues.I am getting a lot of DMs about this. Kindly help students," reads a tweet.

NEET UG 2023 Registration Details

NEET UG 2023 application process started on March 6, 2023, and ended on April 6, 2023.

This year, over 21 candidates have registered for the exam as compared to last year's total number of aspirants registered was 18 lakh and 72 thousand. If the deadline gets extended, this number can further increase. Based on last year's trend, it is likely to be extended.
