The West Tripura Agartala FMGE December 2022 students have written to the union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and complaint that despite their appearing in the FMGE exam and clearing it, they have not been provided with the pass certificates due to complaints made regarding the exam centre.
The Foreign Medical Graduates of India are facing many challenges while getting practising licenses in the country. Now, the FMGE students of December 2022 of West Tripura Centre Agartala have written to the union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and said that they appeared in the examination but not being provided with the pass certificate citing the reason for some complaint regarding the exam centre.
"We students got to know this on our call date which started on March 6, 2023, which took us by surprise. We were shown some CCTV footage and were asked to explain our stand for shaking our heads in our respective applicaions. We were informed that we will be notified by April 16 through a mail or call. Our result has been declared on February 3, 2023, which has been published as well in a full fleged official gazette," reads the letter.
These FMG students said that they have already completed their internships and despite passing the licensing exam they are not able to practice.
"As we students are eager to know what's going on some of us even went there to know the status regarding the issue but had been informed no need to come to NBE and we would be notified by May 1, 2023," added the letter.
The students said that their future is at stake and they requested the health minister to take up this matter with NBE.
Also, most of the FMGs who have cleared FMGE in India are hardly getting any internship opportunities in the country, and the issue is being raised by various doctors' associations and Delhi Medical Council.
