Govt to revise pay structure of Odisha Ayurvedic Medical Service Cadre

Odisha health ministry decided to restructure and revise the pay structure of Odisha Ayurvedic Medical Service Cadre in public interest for smooth and efficient functioning of health care facilities in the Ayurvedic Hospitals and Dispansaries of the state.
Out of the total sanctioned 690 base level posts of Ayurvedic Medical Officer in the scale of pay of INR 44,900 to 1, 42,400 (Level - 10 under ORSP Rules, 2017), 228 posts shall stand abolished in lieu of creation of 245 posts at different levels in the cadre hierarchy leaving 462 posts at base level.
The government will create 228 posts of senior AMO in the scale of pay of INR 56,100 to INR 1,77,500 (Level - 12 under ORSP Rules, 2017) which is the first promotional hierarchy in the cadre. In addition to the existing 20 numbers of District Ayurvedica Medical Officer/Dy. Supt/Supdt. post, 15 posts of Direct Ayurvedic Medical Officer (DAMO) in the scale of pay of INR 56,100 to INR 1,77,500 (Level - 12 under ORSP Rules, 2017) shall be created arriving at a total of 35 posts which is the second promotional hierarchy in the cadre.
Moreover, to the existing single post of Deputy Director (Ayurveda) in the scale of pay of INR 67,700 to INR 2,08,700 (Level - 13 under ORSP Rules, 2017) another post of Deputy Director (Ayurveda), Level - 13 shall be created arriving at a total of 2 posts, which is the 3rd promotional hierarchy in the cadre. There shall be creation of one post of Joint Director (Ayurveda) in the scale of pay of INR 78,800 to 2,09,200 (Level -14 under ORSP Rules, 2017), which is the 4th promotional hierarchy in the cadre. Also, total strength of the Cadre will be increased from 711 to 728.
