Haryana Agricultural University PG Entrance Exams 2020: Over 600 candidates appear for first phase
Haryana Agricultural University Hisar is conducting the entrance examinations in four phases. The first phase was conducted on September 6, in which over 600 candidates appeared.
Haryana Agricultural University has informed that over 600 candidates sat for the entrance examination for various postgraduate courses offered at the varsity. However, 300 applicants were absent, university registrar BR Kamboj said. The varsity is conducting the entrance examinations in four phases. The Haryana Agricultural University will be conducting the rest of the exams on September 9, September 12, and September 16.
While talking about the entrance examination, the registrar said that the examination for admission to postgraduate programmes is being conducted as per instructions issued by the central and state governments amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"All the examination centers were sanitised properly and special attention was given to maintain the social distancing norms and other COVID-19 protocols during the exam. Besides this, the university administration provided water bottles and face masks to the candidates after sanitising their hands at the entrance of the examination center," Kamboj said in a statement.
The varsity conducted the entrance exam from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Four examination centers have been set up to conduct these examinations keeping in view the number of students and the guidelines issued by central and state governments.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Samar Singh along with Mr.Kamboj visited the examination centers and took stock of all exam-related preparations.
Pending final year examinations of state government-aided colleges and universities in Haryana will also be conducted by the end of September. The decision was taken recently at a meeting attended by vice-chancellors and controllers of examination of all government-run universities in the state.
