While attending a review meeting of the health department yesterday, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the state is all set to strengthen its health infrastructure by setting up high-tech hospitals with modern facilities. The state government intends to provide world-class healthcare facilities to the people at their doorsteps.

While reviewing the working of the state's health department on Wednesday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government will provide world-class healthcare facilities to the people of the state at their door steps by setting high tech hospitals with all modern facilities that would be established in each Medical Block.

CMO tweet reads, "Had a review meeting of the health department today. The State Government is committed to providing high-quality healthcare facilities to the people of the State near their doorstep. Modern technologies will be made available in the hospitals in each medical block."

"These hospitals will have the capacity of 50-100 beds and have specialist doctors with adequate para-medical staff and high diagnostic labs. Strengthening of block level hospitals would pave a way to provide specialized medical care to the patients," he said, as reported by Indianewscalling.com.

"The 50 bedded critical care Blocks would be set up in government medical colleges along with the hospitals at Dharamshala, Kinnaur, Bilaspur, Una, Solan, Manali, Kullu and Mandi, said the Chief Minister. Adequate staff strength with specialized doctors, allied health professionals and supporting staff would be deployed in these health institutions to provide the best emergency health care facilities to the patients," he added.
