Hindi Medium Students Receive NEET UG Question Paper 2024 in English Language; NTA Clarifies

The NEET 2024 exam of approximately 120 affected candidates from the Girls Higher Secondary Model School exam centre was held ensuring academic aspirations were not hindered by this incident.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) (UG) today at 571 exam centres in India and abroad. However, in one of the NEET UG exam centres, students from the Hindi medium received NEET question papers in English Medium. This incorrect distribution of question paper by the centre superintendent made students furious and some of them left out of the exam centre with the NEET UG question paper. 

"During the NEET (UG) 2024 examination, it came to the attention of the NTA that at one examination centre, Girls Higher Secondary Model School, Mandir, Mantown, Sawai Madhopur, there was an incident of incorrect distribution of question papers by the Center Superintendent. Despite efforts by invigilators to prevent it, some candidates left the examination centre with question papers." Reads the official notification. 

NTA, However, ensured this incident does not hamper other exam centres across the country and NEET UG integrity remains intact. 

Examination of 120 Affected Students Held Ensuring Academic Aspirations are Not Hindered

NTA further clarifies that fairness and equal opportunity is the rights of all NEET aspirants. Hence, students affected by the incorrect distribution of NEET question papers were given equal opportunity to appear for the exam so that their hard work would not go in vain. 

"In order to uphold the principles of fairness and equal opportunity for all candidates, the NTA has taken proactive measures. The examination of approximately 120 affected candidates from the Girls Higher Secondary Model School examination centre is being conducted today, 5 May 2024, ensuring that their academic aspirations are not hindered by this incident."
