Diabetes Needs Attention
Diabetes has become a global health crisis. The modern allopathic medicine offers effective treatments, the Ayurveda has evolved as an alternative approach without side effects. This ancient system seeks to offer prevention, lifestyle adjustments, and natural remedies for complete diabetes management. In order to achieve these goals, the Centre of Excellence will cooperate with institutions with expertise in Ayurveda, diabetes, and medical research. These collaborations will promote interdisciplinary research, understanding, and the translation of research for the betterment of real-world clinical practice.
Besides, a randomised active comparator-controlled clinical trial will take place that will be infused with a longitudinal study over two years, to evaluate the usefulness of two new Ayurvedic formulations (Mustadi Ghana Vati and Varadi Ghana Vati) in prediabetes and Type II diabetes. The authorities have started the enrollment of the subjects as the due processes of ethics committee approval, registration of study on the Clinical Trial Registry of India (CTRI), and constitution of the Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) have been duly taken.
