Indian Army provides free NEET classes in Srinagar
Indian Army is providing free NEET coaching classes for the medical aspirants of Srinagar. As per reports, the students are finding it beneficial for their preparation.
With an aim to financially help dedicated students in J&K, Indian Army is now providing free-of-cost coaching classes for NEET preparation in Srinagar. The program is not only beneficial for students in the Valley but is also assisting students from Ladakh.
The move is a collaboration between Indian Army, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and NIEDO. Lauding the facilities provided, the students thanked the Army and explained the selection process.
The students said that the Indian Army selects students based on written exams and interviews, as reported by Deccan Herald.
Students have claimed that the training is very beneficial for their preparation.
13 operational medical colleges in J&K by next year: Govt
Secretary to Government Health and Medical Education, Bhupinder Kumar said that the J&K government would by next year have 13 operational medical colleges.
“By next year, J&K will have 13 medical colleges, a huge leap from having just two medical colleges a few years ago. This will include AIIMS Awantipora,” he said, as reported by Greater Kashmir.
“We are expecting that this year J&K will have 1300 MBBS seats, with GMC Udhampur and GMC Handwara starting operations. Quality healthcare delivery is the priority,” he added.
Speaking at the ongoing Uri-Surg Conference at Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar, Kumar said on Friday, “This morning, we had a meeting with these medical colleges and they have sought advanced Cath Lab and MRI and other facilities. This will definitely help the masses in these areas to have better access to healthcare.”
