Amid the Russia-Ukraine war, India woke up to the fact that many of its medical students are migrating to other countries to pursue undergraduate medical courses due to the high medical education cost and reservation system in India. Scores of Indian medical students were evacuated from the troubled country Ukraine but while their lives are safe in the country, these students and their parents are worried about their future as their studies have been disrupted due to the ongoing war.
Recently, West Bengal and Karnataka government have announced that Ukraine returned medical students can continue their education in the state's medical colleges.
Jammu and Kashmir administration has announced that they will work out a plan to help these students in continuing their education in India.
