On the fourth day of the Janaushadhi Diwas Week 2022, the 'Jan Aushadhi Jan Jagaran Abhiyan' has been started to make the youth aware of Jan Aushadhi Store.

The Janaushadhi Diwas week 2022 is being celebrated across India by the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI), under the aegis of the Department of Pharmaceuticals. The objective is to increase awareness about the usage of generic medicines and the benefits of the Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana. Today, on the fourth day of Janaushadhi Diwas Week, 'Jan Aushadhi Jan Jagaran Abhiyan' has been started to make the youth aware of Jan Aushadhi Store.

Today 25 seminars across the country have been organised and also 'Jan Aushadhi Pledge' was launched.

"In the 'Jan Aushadhi Jan Jagaran Abhiyan' which started today as part of Jan Aushadhi Week, seminars are being organized with the youth to make them aware about the Jan Aushadhi project. Jan Aushadhi Stores, also known as 'Modi ji ki shop', provide cheap and best medicines," said Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

"Public awareness about the public utility of Jan Aushadhi. On the fourth day of Jan Aushadhi Week, today, under the 'Jan Aushadhi Jan Jagaran Abhiyan', a heritage walk was conducted in Purana Qila. More than 8,600 Jan Aushadhi Kendras are providing affordable and best medicines to the public across the country," he tweeted.

"On the third day of #JanaushadhiDiwas2022 Week, our young friends released beautiful sky lanterns and balloons to spread more awareness about Pradhan Mantri Janaushadhi Pariyojana in Bengaluru, Karnataka," said the Union Health Minister.
