Admissions are open for BSc (Nursing & Allied Health Sciences) courses at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, candidates can apply by January 20, 2023.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research has invited applications for admissions to BSc (Nursing & Allied Health Sciences) courses. The last date to apply is January 20, 2023. The expected date of publication of the eligible list on the official website www.jipmer.edu.in is on or before January 30, 2023. The details regarding counselling and admission will be out on February 7, 2023, and classes will commence on February 9, 2023.

Eligibility criteria for JIPMER's BSc admissions

The following are the eligibility requirements:

  • The applicant should be an Indian and must have qualified for the NEET UG 2022 
  • He/she should have completed the age of 17 years on or before December 31.
  • The candidate must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology and English as the core subject with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology.

"Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination. For PwD candidates in the general category the minimum marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination is 45%," reads the prospectus.

JIPMER offers BSc Nursing and BSc Allied Health Sciences courses. BSc Nursing is a full-time 4 (Four) years degree course. Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences is a full time 4 (Four) year course with 3.5 years of theory & practical classes and 6 months of compulsory internship. All other BSc Allied Health Sciences courses are full time 4 (Four) years courses with 3 years of theory & practical classes and 1 year of compulsory internship.
