Online applications are invited by Director, JIPMER from eligible Indian citizens as per Govt. of India’s Residency Scheme for filling up the posts of Senior Resident (3-year tenure posts) at JIPMER, Puducherry & JIPMER, Karaikal. It include current vacancies, backlog vacancies of SC/ST & OBC & vacancies will fall from July 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.

JIPMER: Registrations for recruitment of Senior Residents commence today

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) invited applications for recruitment of Senior Resident (3-year tenure posts). The registration started today, May 30, 2023, and the last date to apply for these posts are June 19, 2023 till 4:30 pm. The examination will be held on July 2, 2023. Candidates who secure less than the minimum eligibility Percentage / Score in the Computer Based Test (CBT) will NOT be considered for Interview and their names will NOT be included in the Merit List.

Reservation has been provided in the Senior Resident posts in accordance with Rules. Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) candidates is 4% which will be provided on horizontal basis. 

Applicants should not have completed 3 years Senior Residency under Residency Scheme in any Govt. medical institution, whether on regular or on ad-hoc / Contract basis. The duration of Senior Residency already done will be reduced from the 3 years tenure to be offered.

The process of submission of application online is completed only after uploading candidate details, scanned photograph, scanned community/PWBD certificates as applicable, and scanned signature and then clicking the “submit button”.

The candidates are advised to download a copy of their filled in application which contains the application details. They need NOT send hard copy of the application to the Institute. If the candidate finds an error of entry committed by him/her in the application after the submission of application fee, a fresh application should be submitted, and the candidate should make the payment again. The earlier application will automatically stand cancelled. No E-Mail or Written communication will be entertained in this regard.
