JIPMER has released the schedule of the first counselling for admission to MSc Nursing & Post Basic Diploma in Nursing (PBDN) courses, read here to know the details.

JIPMER's first counselling for MSc Nursing and PBDN on August 24

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) has issued notice related to the first counselling for admission to MSc Nursing & Post Basic Diploma in Nursing (PBDN) courses. 

The first counselling for admission to MSc Nursing and PBDN courses will be held on August 24, 2022, to fill five seats each in MSc Nursing in Pediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, and Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing and 11 seats in Medical-Surgical Nursing. Also, to fill PBDN seats in Critical Care Nursing (7 seats), Cardio-Thoracic Nursing (6 seats), and Operation Room Nursing (6 seats).

The registration for the counselling will be done from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on August 24 and counselling time is 2:30 PM and the candidates must report to JIPMER Academic Centre at 2:00 PM for the counselling.

The official notification reads, "MSc Nursing Candidates must possess one-year work experience by July 31. The experience will be calculated after the date of registration in the state nursing council. Candidates opting for a seat in the first counseling should submit all the original certificates and pay the required fees on the same day i.e. on August 24, 2022. The candidates are required to refer to the prospectus for details on the counselling and admission process. All the original certificates listed overleaf must be produced for verification on the date of counselling."

Documents required

The documents needed for counselling are - proof of date of birth (X Standard Certificate or Birth Certificate), Consolidated Marksheet / Statement of marks of the qualifying examination

(BSc Nursing), Degree Certificate / Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination, Community Certificate (For OBC/SC/ST candidates only), Economically Weaker Sections Certificate (For EWSs candidates only), NOC from the Employer (If the candidate is currently working), Experience Certificate, Permanent Medical Registration Certificate/ Nursing council registration certificate issued by State/Central Medical/Nursing Council (applicable for Medical / Nursing

Graduates), Medical Certificate in case of PwD Candidate, Transfer Certificate / Migration Certificate, Course cum conduct Certificate, Covid-19 Vaccine 2nd Dose Certificate, Student Verification Form printout - all the eligible candidates (Annexure A & B) should fill the student verification form by clicking the link given below and submit before reporting to JIPMER: https://www.digialm.com//EForms/configuredHtml/827/68596/application.html.

The candidates are also required to submit a hard copy of the filled-in form, a score card downloaded through the link published on the JIPMER website on August 1, and three sets of photocopies of all the aforesaid certificates/ documents, and five passport size colour photos without a placard.
