KEA Opens Application Process for NEET 2024 Aspirants for Admission to Medical and Paramedical Courses

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has opened the application window for NEET 2024 aspirants for admission to medical or paramedical courses on January 10, 2024. The last date of application is February 10, 2024, and the fee has to be paid by February 14.

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released the application form for admission to medical and paramedical courses in Karnataka for the academic year 2024-25. Candidates willing to pursue medical or paramedical courses from the state will have to fill up a common application form with verification for the NEET UG 2024 exam.

There is a common application form for Medical, Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, etc. courses. KEA has stated, β€œFor admission to Medical or Dental or Ayurveda or Unani or Homeopathy courses, Karnataka or non-Karnataka candidates must compulsorily register and get qualified in UGNEET 2024 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). But for admission through KEA, the candidates have to compulsorily register, submit the application and pay the fees for CET-2024.”

KEA also adds, β€œFor admission to BPT, BSc, Allied Health Sciences, BPO courses, Karnataka candidates have to compulsorily register, submit the application and pay the fees for CET-2024, but candidates need to appear for CET-2024.”

KCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Medical Courses

For participating in the admission process of the Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy courses, candidates must have passes Class 12 Board exam/2nd PUC or equivalent exam with English as one of the languages. Candidates must obtain a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate (40 per cent for Reserved category candidates) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

How to Register for KCET 2024

Candidates will have to fill the KCET 2024 application form by following the steps given below:

  • Visit the KEA official website - kea.kar.nic.in 2024.    
  • Click on the direct link to complete KCET registration.   
  • Fill personal details like name, gender, email ID, phone number and others.    
  • Enter education qualification, communication address and others.    
  • Upload required documents as per the specifications.   
  • Pay the application fee online.   
  • Preview all details and submit the form for future reference.  

After NEET 2024 results are declared, already registered candidates with KEA will be provided interface to enter their NEET score and Roll Number.

The NEET 2024 exam will be conducted on May 5, and the result will be declared in the second week of June 2024. The Karnataka NEET counselling 2024 will be conducted tentatively from August 2024 onwards.
