Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana has started the admission process, the last date to apply in various courses is September 6.
Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana has begun the admission process to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the session 2021-22. The programs are on dairy technology, veterinary science, biotechnology, and fisheries. The last date to apply online without a late fee is September 6, and with a late fee, it is September 20.
For the detailed information one can see the prospectus uploaded on the website www.gadvasu.in. It contains information on the admission process, seat capacity, important dates, seat reservation, and counselling/interview dates.
Veterinary courses eligibility criteria
To fill the program forms, the candidates are requested to visit the web link https://gadvasu.fdsbase.com/ and register. Next, they can log in to the admission portal to fill the columns in the form. Following are the eligibility criteria for different courses:
- For Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc), the eligibility criteria is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG-2021 rank/score.
- For Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc), the criteria are NEET (UG)-2021 rank/ score, followed by Class XII merit.
- For BTech in dairy technology, the admissions will be on the basis of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Mains)-2021 rank/score and Class XII merit.
- For the Biotechnology program, the criteria is NEET (UG)-2021 rank/score, followed by Class XII (medical) merit or JEE (Mains)–2021 rank/score and Class XII (non-medical) merit.
As per the Registrar, Harmanjit Singh Banga, the eligibility for the undergraduate programmes in College of Dairy Science and Technology is Class XII with non-medical, for College of Veterinary Science and College of Fisheries it is Class XII with the medical stream from a recognised board/university, and for College of Animal Biotechnology, the eligibility is Class XII with medical and/or non-medical streams.
The admission to master's programmes for residents of Chandigarh/Punjab would be based on the merit of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) PG 2021 rank/score and merit of qualifying examination/rank/score of Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B).
